Delores Gray Ford, a native of Cleveland, is an elected member of the State Board of Education, District 11, she is the current President of the historical Carl Stokes Brigade, an organization dedicated to social justice.

 

Delores has over twenty-five years of experience in community wellness, education, and activism. Additionally, she serves as Chair of Social Justice with NCNW North Coast Section and serves on the Executive Board of the Black Women Political Action Committee.

 

Delores has received many awards for her contribution; in January of 2025 she received the Lifetime Achievement award from President Biden for her dedication to Literacy. Ms. Gray Ford is an alum of Cleveland State University, Notre Dame College, and currently attending Ursuline College ASWP. Currently she is a Minister in Training, at Fifth Christian Church under Pastor Regis Bunch leadership.

 

Delores is an inspiring and influential leader in the community. Her innovative spirit and commitment to positive change are evident in her portfolio of work with families, children, and community. Delores is a delegate with the Fred D Gray institute for Human & Civil Rights. Works with families and women regarding Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, SA, Infant Mortality along with helping men in Re-entry.
